About the Department
The Department of religion/theology offers different courses which help students to grow spiritually and increase in the knowledge of God. It presents opportunity to relate to the living God humbly and personally while studying divine revelation and preparing for a life time service. It also facilitates students to mature as Christians, pastors, and scholars with a mind for truth, a burden for the lost, and a heart for God.
The department offers a two-year Diploma in Religion and a three year Degree in Bachelor of Arts in Theology.

“To glorify God by equipping students in the work of evangelism, church administration, teaching and the proclamation of the word of God in order to meet the pastoral, ministerial, theological, educational, and evangelistic needs of Ethiopia Union Mission and beyond.”

The Theology Department of EAC aspires to be a center of excellence in theological studies and mission, leading students to a closer relationship with Jesus, sharpening their biblical knowledge, and preparing them for the local and worldwide mission fields.

Entry Requirements
An entrance/admission to the religion/theology program requires a high school or senior high school national exam passing grade. A student in the department should also fulfill all the required credit hours before earning a Diploma in Religion or a B.A. Degree in Theology.
Why Join Theology at EAC
Those who finished their Diploma in Religion or Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology may work within the Seventh-day Adventist institutions as evangelists, pastors, leaders or Bible instructors, provided they have required moral qualifications and proved their call as a ministers of the Word
